ETHAN MOFFITT

BIO

Composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist ETHAN MOFFITT is currently a student of classical bass and composition at the USC Thornton School of Music. During his time at USC he has studied with artists such as Andrew Norman and Ted Hearne (composition) as well as David Moore (long-time member and bassist of the LA Philharmonic).

Mr. Moffitt has also been raised studying and playing the jazz tradition and has performed and recorded with artists such as David Binney, Louis Cole, Justin Brown, Steve Lehman and Ambrose Akinmusire. He has also received several awards for his compositions and arrangements from organizations such as Downbeat Magazine, the Berklee College of Music and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
